There can be several reasons for this:

• You are using Panda antivirus. Panda Antivirus is conflicting with our software. Unfortunately they do not seem to fix the issue on their side.
• You are using McAfee Virusscan 10. This software does not allow SpamExperts to intercept the connection. This issue has been fixed in McAfee Virusscan 11. Disabling the email virus scanner will allow SpamExperts to intercept the connections.
• You are using other conflicting software. Please send us a bug report from the SpamExperts Help menu so we can analyze your issue.

All our users are contributing to the success of the software. The more users our software has, the quicker it learns and the faster it adapts to new spam trends. Furthermore we benchmark new developed technologies on our Desktop Limited users.

The intelligent filters will classify most of the emails automatically correctly (assuming at least 10 spam and 10 not spam emails have been manually trained). When SpamExperts keeps making mistakes for a certain sender, you should bypass all automatic filters and add it to the "Allowed Senders" list. Importing your address book simply is not necessary with this self-learning system.

Our product supports the filtering of POP3 and IMAP connections. When you connect to your exchange server using one of these protocols, the email will be filtered correctly. When you are using your own Exchange server with your own domain name, we recommend the use of SpamExperts Domain instead.

SpamExperts Desktop does not support Windows versions older than Windows 2000.

SpamExperts Desktop does not support Apple Macintosh.

After installation of our software, you first need to manually train several messages before all its filters become active (minimum of 10 Not Spam and 10 Spam). You can easily train messages by drag/dropping them to the appropriate button within the SpamExperts software.

It can happen that errors occur after SpamExperts has updated itself. Reinstall the latest version from our website to fix this issue. If this happens more frequently, please contact support.

Messages are automatically removed from the SpamExperts internal cache list at a set period (Settings). Removing them manually does NOT have any effect on the training. You can safely remove the messages whenever you want.

Blocked Spam messages are stored (by default for 7 days) in the SpamExperts software. When you move a Spam message to the Not Spam folder it will be delivered to your email client.

Windows may indicate SpamExperts to use a relative large amount of memory. In practice, SpamExperts uses much less memory. Because of the Windows memory management system a lot of memory remains allocated to SpamExperts until it is needed by different software.
